Gravelle Pierre, CFA
Founder & Portfolio Manager

Gravelle Pierre, CFA, founded Iron Harbor Capital in 2008 with the objective of building a global leader in asset management. Iron Harbor’s cornerstone is a strong partnership culture with a deeply embedded passion for excellence and integrity. Leadership and expertise is what Iron Harbor delivers to its clients and partners.

Prior to founding Iron Harbor, Gravelle traded currencies and interest rates for ten years at Goldman, Sachs & Co. At Goldman, Gravelle learned the value of a team-based culture focused squarely on client needs. He also observed the benefits of a thoroughly integrated risk management approach—from trading systems and processes to business continuity and reputation. These were principles similar to those Gravelle first encountered in the Army.

Before joining Goldman, Gravelle served five years of active duty in the US Army and attained the rank of Captain. As an Army officer, he strengthened the leadership skills he acquired as a cadet at West Point.

Gravelle earned his MBA from the Sloan School of Management (MIT), a master’s degree from Central Michigan University, and his bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Gravelle earned the CFA Charter in 2012.
